Overall Summary
Sprague enters the 2025 season with a mixed bag of varsity returners and new faces. The Olympians will once again be led by senior brothers Andrew Mhoon and Henry Mhoon. Both are LMU commits returing to solidify the middle of the field for Sprague. Andrew is the 8th ranked senior in the state and will be at the shortstop position, in addition to being a standout righty bat. Henry is coming off of a season cut short and will likely man centerfield in his senior season. Fellow senior and Bushnell commit Boyd Messman is a sound catcher behind the plate with some pop, as seen at Prep Baseball's West Coast Games last fall. Senior Jace Dalton will be another middle of the order bat to watch, in addition to being one of the returing innings leaders on the mound. Senior RHP Avery Lohrman will be a big arm for Sprague this spring as well. Sophomore Parker Kruse will be an underclassman to watch after getting some varsity run as a freshman last year. The Olympians have a number of great matchups this spring, including games toward the end of the season against South Salem, Tualatin, and West Linn. Look for Sprague to ride their strong senior class and put out a strong 6A side again this season.
