Overall Summary
Ridgeview enters the 2025 season after putting together one of the more dominant 5A seasons in Oregon last spring. The Ravens are led by senior INF/RHP and Portland commit Logan Nakamura. The 20th ranked senior in the state is a well-rounded athletic player with some gap power from the left hand side of the plate. On the mound, Nakamura will be joined by fellow starter Finn Chambers, who worked deep into games consistently in his freshman varsity season. The lineup will feature mostly returners, headlined by sophomore infielder Diego Lopez at the top. Senior catcher and Willamette commit Olen Nofziger provides experience defensively and a middle of the order bat. Fellow senior infielder Jackson Hertel should also have a strong spring. An already strong Ridgeview team may also get reinforcements in freshman Ryker Combs and Bennett Wyatt. Both are physical underclassman that are ranked 3rd and 6th in the state for the freshman class, respectively. The Ravens have some great early-season matchups against Sunset, South Salem and Canby to circle this spring. Ridgeview bring back a vast majority of their varsity roster, aided by some talented underclassman, and should be a true 5A powerhouse again this season.
