Overall Summary

Sandy enters the 2025 season looking to build on an impressive 2024 campaign. While the Pioneers may not have any top-ranked prospects, they do bring in some nice depth and plenty of varsity experience in their strong senior class. Senior RHP/INF and Lower Columbia commit Fisher Winchester returns as an arm that can work the FB into the upper 80's with a strong breaking ball to pair. Fellow senior Brayden Sievertsen is another key arm returning after logging over 40 innings last spring. Prep Baseball is circling 2027 RHP Mason Frederickson as an arm to watch after a big jump in stuff shown at the recent PNW Preseason All-State event. Offensively, senior INF and Mount Hood CC commit Kobe Sparks should return to the top of the order as an athletic prospect. Another Mount Hood CC commit in Cooper Hibbs will man center field and bring plus athleticism to the lineup. Sandy will have some spots to fill for new faces this spring, particularly in the infield. The Pioneers will face some tough matchups at various points this spring, including games with Tualatin, Clackamas and Central Catholic. Expect Sandy to once again be a tough out with an athletic group of players this season.
