Overall Summary

McMinnville heads into the 2025 with high hopes after a state playoff appearance and winning the Pacific League last spring. The Grizzlies are headlined by the number 16 ranked junior in the state, 1B/LHP Cameron Hyder. Hyder is a plus athlete who should slot in near the top of the lineup as well as eat innings on the mound. Fellow junior outfielder Aaron Rolfe returns as a potent bat after hitting in the three hole last season. Senior LHP Brayden Mix returns and slots in as one of the top starting pitchers for McMinnville. Mix logged important innings last season and will be leaned on once again. The senior also mans CF and has a chance to grow into a larger role offensively. Junior Tyler Brummitt is a key piece after securing 1st team all-league honors as a sophomore last spring. Pitching depth should be a strength for McMinnville this year with several returning varsity arms. Head coach Todd Peterson is circling matchups with West Linn and Lakeridge as games to watch for the Grizzlies this spring. Look for McMinnville to build on their success from a season ago and once again be a strong 6A side.
