Overall Summary

Sherwood enters the spring with high hopes despite losing several key pieces from their lineup a season ago. The Bowmen are led by senior RHP/INF Connor Parry, a Prep Baseball Future Games alum and Portland commit. Parry can impact the game on both sides of the baseball, logging over 35 quality innings on the mound while also batting cleanup last spring. Fellow senior Wilson Medina returns as another staple in the lineup. Several new faces have the ability to impact the lineup for Sherwood this spring, including junior catcher Maguire Gray, who has posted standout offensive metrics at multiple Prep Baseball events. Senior Peyton Nash is another player to circle after showcasing a smooth game at a Prep Baseball preseason event. More help could also be coming with freshman catcher/outfielder Drew Schmidt, the 5th ranked player in the state for his class. Junior LHP Alexander Lopez figures to see some increased action on the mound, after posting an ERA just over 2 in limited action last season. The Bowmen will face some tough early season tests against Westview and Lincoln to highlight their schedule this spring. Look for Sherwood to once again be in the mix in the 6A Pacific conference this season.
