Overall Summary

Scappoose enters 2025 with a target on their back as the two-time defending 4A state champions. The Indians will once again be led by standout senior and Portland commit Joe Fagan, who was leaned on heavily on the mound down the stretch last spring. Fagan can also man a high quality shortstop when not on the mound and features a shorter, direct line-drive approach at the plate. Scappoose will also bring back their leadoff man from a season ago in senior infielder Quinton Olson, a dynamic player at the top of the lineup. Max Nowlin is another potent senior bat returning, and Riley DuBois brings a veteran presence behind the plate. Pitching depth may be tested throughout the season for the Indians, but RHP Brandon Neilson could be an option to step up in a big way on the mound. Prep Baseball is circling matchups with Warrenton and Marist as games to keep an eye on for the two-time state champions. Returning a great deal of their championship core, Scappoose should once again be a power player in Oregon 4A baseball this season.
