Team Previews are generated through a mixture of coaches' responses gathered through our perennial coaches questionnaires, as well as insight from Prep Baseball Staff. Stay tuned the next several weeks for the unveiling of Team Previews and the complete Power 25.

Team Strengths: Senior class, lineup depth

Overall Summary

Wells enters 2025 as an intruiging team to follow. Despite graduating two D-1 players in Quin Dufort and Griffin Scott, the Guardians do return several key pieces, particularly from their lineup last season. Senior catcher Cody Roletto returns after leading the team hitting .438 with 3 home runs as a junior. Fellow senior Ian Kolmer is another critical player for Wells, both as a middle of the order bat and one of the few returning arms on the mound. Other returners from the lineup that should have productive years are seniors Cam Hammer and Lucas LeGare. Pitching is clearly the biggest question mark, as Wells loses their top three innings leaders from a season ago. Prep Baseball is circling sophomore LHP Jack Burnham to step up in a major way, after a recent look at a Preseason ID event in which he showed major strides in his stuff on the mound. Walter Robinson is another intruiging arm as a RHP with the ability to spin multiple offerings. Wells will start their season off with two top-end matchups with South Salem and Barlow before beginning conference play, with several games to circle throughout the spring. Expect the Guardians to once again be one of the more competitive sides in the Portland area.
