Overall Summary

Barlow enters 2025 as one of the teams to beat in the Mt. Hood conference and a serious contender at the 6A level. The Bruins are headlined by some serious top-end talent, with senior RHP/OF River Hamilton at the top of the list. The LSU commit is an elite arm that can run his fastball into the mid-90's on the mound. Hamilton is the third ranked senior in Oregon and ranked 61st nationally in the class. A pair of senior arms will shoulder a bulk of the innings alongside Hamilton in LHP Dylan Sheaffer and RHP Cole Schmidt. The Bruins will be looking to fill the gap left from LHP/OF Kainoa Meyer, who will miss the season due to injury. Sophomore INF/RHP Amari Reynolds is another big time talent that secured first-team all-state honors in his freshman season. The sixth ranked sophomore in the state should be at the top of the order and dominate on the offensive side. Senior Kiyoshi Kiyokawa is a steady bat and plus athlete in the middle infield. Fellow senior Brodan Curtiss further solidifies the infield and could step into a larger role offensively. Head coach Brady Burdick is circling matchups with West Linn, Clackamas, Sandy and Central Catholic as some of the highlights of Barlow's schedule. With high-end talent and experience throughout, look for Barlow to make some real noise in the 6A playoffs.
