Overall Summary

Tualatin enters the 2025 season with big aspirations after adding talent to an already talented squad. The Timberwolves are now headlined by Tigard transfer and Oregon commit INF/C Trenton Hertzog. Hertzog is the top-ranked junior in the state of Oregon, and earned his commitment after a breakout performance at last summer's Prep Baseball Future Games. Tualatin boasts even more top-end talent in Portland commit C Isaac Pfeifer, the 7th ranked senior in the state. Another transfer to keep an eye on is sophomore LHP/1B Kye Leenders. The lefty is a plus athlete that impressed at the recent Prep Baseball Preseason All-State event. Senior Tacoma CC commit Brayden Buck is another powerful lefty bat that should slot in to the middle of the order. Pitching should be a strong suit for the Timberwolves, as they have plenty of arms with upside. Junior LHP Ben Fong pounds the zone and has a true starter's arsenal. Sophomore RHP Shane Haddad Jr. has worked his fastball into the mid 80's with a plus breaking ball at a recent Prep Baseball look. RHP Cole Newton is another strike thrower and an arm that should see increased action. Head coach Jake Austin is looking at matchups against Sandy, Canby, and Jesuit as early season games to watch. Look for Tualatin to take a big step forward in 2025.
