For now, here are the players that popped from the second week of OSAA action, spanning from April 4th to April 10th.

DIAMOND NOTES

+ RHP Noble Meyer’s (Jesuit, 2023; Oregon commit) dominance continued last week in perhaps his most impressive start to date. The 6-foot-4, 185-pound Oregon recruit retired 16 batters in six no-hit innings, walking one as his lone blemish. Meyer added two hits at the plate and continues to prove he’s one of the area’s top-tier prospects.

+ 1B/RHP Jackson Fera (Rex Putnam, 2024) had quite the all-around week, helping lead Rex Putnam to three straight victories over St. Helens. At the plate, Fera went 6-for-10 with two doubles, two home runs, seven RBIs, and he scored four runs, too. He transferred his success to the mound, striking out eight batters across six scoreless innings, allowing just one hit.

+ A frequent face on our ‘Diamond Notes’, SS/RHP Kaden Harris (Milwaukie, 2023) threw a complete game shutout last week in a win against Banks, striking out nine and holding them to just three hits. He also went 1-for-2 at the plate with an RBI triple and two runs scored.

+ RHP Ty Alleman (Jesuit, 2023) has been nothing but brilliant for the Crusaders this spring and the uncommitted junior continued that success on the bump last week in a win over Sunset. Alleman hurled five shutout innings, striking out nine and allowing just four hits in total.

+ The expectation of dominance has become the norm for Hidden Valley, who’s riding the success of their two senior stars to an undefeated start this spring. Working in relief last week, RHP/INF Nate Vidlak (2022; College of Idaho) punched out eight batters and surrendered just one hit. RHP/INF Isaac Hill (2022; Oregon State) drew the start in the Mustangs next game, continuing his spring-long dominance by striking out 11 batters across five scoreless frames.

+ Mentioned in last week’s edition of ‘Diamond Notes’, LHP Quin Dufort (Ida B Wells, 2024) had himself another impressive outing on the mound. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound southpaw finished his outing against Sprague last week with 10 strikeouts and just three hits allowed, leading Ida B Wells to a 5-1 victory. Dufort improved to 3-0 on the season with a 1.06 ERA and 48 strikeouts in 26 ⅓ innings.

+ RHP Owen Cote (La Salle, 2022) helped lead his squad to a victory over Wilsonville last week by hurling seven shutout innings, striking out three and scattering four hits throughout.

+ OF Rochne Beecham (Wilsonville, 2022; Pacific Lutheran) homered three times for Wilsonville throughout the week of action, including two in the same contest against Gresham.

+ Like he did last week, RHP Logan Larrance (Tualatin, 2023) put together an impressive outing on the mound against a quality Tigard lineup. The uncommitted junior arm hurled six scoreless innings, striking out five and allowing just one hit in total, while issuing just one walk, too.
