5.8.23 - 5.14.23

'23 Nathan Goodman (Bend Senior) - The Occidental College commit put together a string of quality plate appearances throughout the Lava Bears' three contests last week. Goodman recorded at least one base hit in each game, including two different multi-hit games in the series. This includes Friday, when he went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI, two walks, and a run scored. He finished the week 5-for-8 with the double and three walks drawn.

'24 Quin Dufort (Ida B. Wells) - The Portland recruit continues to show why he is a premier prospect in the state's junior class. His two-way prowess was on display this week, as he dominated both on the rubber and in the box. Starting with his lone pitching appearance, Durfort got the start in the second game of the series against Franklin and was nothing short of phenomenal. He went the distance, punching out a dozen opposing batters while failing to allow an earned run. His final line on the bump was 7 IP, 12 Ks, 6 H, 2 BB, 1 R, 0 ER. As mentioned, Dufort was also productive offensively. He went 2-for-3 with an RBI in game one of the series, and added a base hit in each of the next three contests that the Guardians had. He finished the week batting 5-for-12 with a double, four RBI, and a pair of walks and three runs scored. 

'25 Jackson Poole (Ida B. Wells) - The sophomore outfielder put together a productive week for the Guardians at the bottom of the order. Not only did he reach base in each of their four games this week, he scored a run in each one. Poole also recorded back-to-back multi-hit games, highlighted by a 3-for-4 performance on Saturday in which he added a double and three RBI. He finished the week 6-for-11 with a double, three RBI, and four runs scored.

'23 Levi Jones (Jesuit) - The Oregon State recruit is one of the top seniors in the region and currently sits within the top-500 nationally. The left-handed hitting infielder had a monster week at the plate, helping Jesuit go undefeated in three contests. He showed off his power potential in the first game of the week, slugging a pair of home runs. In the next game, he collected a base hit and added a pair of RBI. In the final game of the week, Jones went an impressive 4-for-4 with a pair of RBI and a pair of runs scored. He finished the week 7-for-7 with two home runs, seven RBI, eight runs scored, and a pair of stolen bases.

'23 Luke Brooks (Lakeridge) - The senior continued to show as one of the top uncommitted names in the class, putting together an excellent performance this past Wednesday. He got to toe-the-rubber on Wednesday and tossed six innings without allowing an earned run. He struck out seven opposing hitters while allowing just four hits. His final line was 6 IP, 7 Ks, 4 H, 2 BB, 1 R, 0 ER. 

'23 Bryan Ramirez (Lake Oswego) - The senior put together an impressive week for the Lakers, tallying at least one hit in each contest and generating run production. In the latter two games, Ramirez recorded a pair of multi-hit performances. This highlighted by a three hit, two RBI performance in the series finale. He finished the week 6-for-9 with a double, two RBI, two runs scored, and two walks drawn.

'23 Kaden Starr (Marist Catholic) - The Portland recruit has been dominant during his senior campaign, and nothing changed this past week. Starr's two-way prowess was on full display as he helped power the Spartans to a 4-0 record this past week. He was constantly playing the role of run producer offensively, scoring a dozen times and driving in 10 on the week. He finished the week going 11-for-13 with five doubles and a home run. Starr also got to toe-the-rubber on Friday, allowing just one hit across three innings of work. Eight of his nine outs were recorded via the strikeout. His final line on the mound was 3 IP, 8 Ks, 1 H, 0 BB, 0 R.

'25 Dominic Daffron (North Medford) - The sophomore got to toe-the-rubber in the first contest on Saturday against Roseburg. He was spectacular for the Black Tornado, hurling six innings while allowing just one earned run. He struck out seven opposing hitters while not failing to surrender a walk. Daffron lived all around the zone, landing 75% of his pitches for strikes. His final line was 6 IP, 7 Ks, 3 H, 1 ER. 

'24 Caden Richardson (Pleasant Hills) - Richardson continues to show as a name-to-follow in the state's 2024 class. He got to toe-the-rubber on Tuesday against Siuslaw and was dominant. He punched out 10 while allowing just one walk and not a single earned run over six innings of work. His final line on the bump was CG (6 IP), 10 Ks, 5 H, 1 BB, 1 R, 0 ER. Richardson also helped his cause at the plate, adding a base hit and two RBI that same day. 

'24 Jackson Fera (Rex Putnam) - Currently slated inside of the state's top-25 prospects in our most recent 2024 update, Fera put together an impressive week for the Kingsmen. It started on Tuesday when he tossed a complete game, allowing just one earned run over seven innings of work. He also doubled in a run and scored in that same game. Despite this performance, Friday's contest was the highlight of the week for Fera. He went 4-for-4 on the day, putting his power on full display with three of those landing on the opposite side of the outfield wall. He finished the day with five RBI and four runs scored. His final line for the week was 5-for-10 with two doubles, three home runs, six RBI, and five runs scored.

 '25 Noah Kovac (Sandy) - Novac got to toe-the-rubber last Thursday and was absolutely dominant. He hurled over six innings, striking out 13 and allowing just three hits in the process. He surrendered only three walks and one run, however it was unearned. His final line on the bump that day was 6.2 IP, 13 Ks, 3 H, 3 BB, 1 R, 0 ER. He also helped his own cause, adding an RBI double offensively.

 '24 Nolan Umlandt (Sherwood) -  The Portland recruit continued his dominant junior campaign with a handful of impressive performances this past week. On the mound, he tossed four no-hit innings on Monday. He faced the minimum and only allowed one baserunner while striking out for opposing batters. His final line on the day was 4 IP, 4 Ks, 0 H, 0 BB, 0 R. In that same game, he went 2-for-3 with a double, a triple, and an RBI. He followed that up with two more multi-hit performances. On Wednesday, he slugged another double en route to a 2-for-3 day. In the series finale, Umlandt went 3-for-4 with two doubles, three RBI, and three runs scored. He finished the week 7-for-10 with four doubles, a triple, five RBI, and four runs scored.

'24 Avery Wilson (Sprague) - Slotted within the state's top-80 prospects in our newest 2024 update, Wilson put together an excellent week, helping the Olympians to a 3-0 record. He recorded at least one hit and one RBI in each of their matchups, and scored runs in two of their games. His week was highlighted by a multi-hit performance on Wednesday. He went 3-for-4, including a home run, as well as a pair of RBI in a big win over McNary. He finished the week 5-for-12 with a home run, a double, four RBI, and three runs scored. 

'26 Teagan Scott (South Salem) - Currently ranked within the top-250 nationally, the Oregon State commit has been one of the premier freshmen bats in the state this season. He continued to swing a hot bat this past week, recording multiple hits in all three of the Saxons' games. On top of that, he slugged a double in each of their contests as well. He finished the week slashing .636/.692/.909 in 11 at-bats, with three doubles and six RBI. 

'25 Connor Molony (Thurston) - The Oregon commit is currently slotted within the top-10 prospects in the state's sophomore class. He took the mound in the first matchup on Friday and hurled a five-inning no-hitter. He faced just one more than the minimum, and punched out seven while walking just one. His final line on the bump was 5 IP, 7 Ks, 1 BB, 0 H, 0 R. In that same game, he helped himself out by going 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and four RBI. 

'26 Grady Saunders (Thurston) - The Oregon State recruit has been dominant during his freshman campaign, and nothing changed this past week. He got the start on the mound on Tuesday and was absolutely phenomenal, hurling a complete game shutout and facing just one more than the minimum. He allowed only two hits while striking out seven opposing batters. His final line on the mound was 7 IP, 7 Ks, 2 H, 0 BB, 0 R. 

'23 Buddy Brands (Tigard) - The Iowa Western CC commit and 2021 PBR Future Games participant has shown continuously shown why he is a top-10 prospect in the state's senior class. He got the nod against Oregon City last Wednesday and was absolutely spectacular. He tossed a complete game shutout, allowing seven hits while striking out nine opposing hitters in the process. He also helped himself out offensively, going 1-for-3 with an RBI that same day. His final line on the mound was 7 IP, 9 Ks, 7 H, 2 BB, 0 R. 

'23 Kaden DuChene (Tigard) - The senior put together a productive week for the Tigers in the middle of their order. He got started with a 2-for-3 performance in Tuesday's win. DuChene drove in a run and scored twice that day. On Wednesday, DuChene added a double, three RBI, and a run scored. He finished the week with another multi-hit performance, going 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles. He finished the week 5-for-10 with three doubles, four RBI, and five runs scored.

'24 Luke Fulkerson (Tigard) - Currently one of the top state's junior southpaws still on-the-market, Fulkerson has enjoyed a successful spring thus far. He got to toe-the-rubber last Tuesday against Oregon City and hurled a complete game in the victory. He struck out five and allowed just two runs over the course of seven innings of work. His final line was 7 IP, 5 Ks, 8 H, 3 BB, 2 ER. 

'26 Trenton Hertzog (Tigard) - Hertzog is one of the top freshmen in the state and has been productive thus far this season. He put together a big week, helping the Tigers en route to an undefeated 3-0 record. In the series opener, Hertzog collected a base hit and an RBI. In the middle matchup, he went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI, and two runs scored. He recorded another multi-hit performance in the finale, going 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI and a pair of runs scored. He finished the week 6-for-10 with four RBI and four runs scored.

'25 Alexander Pearson (Tigard) - Pearson showed off his two-way capabilities this past week, starting with slugging an RBI double in Tuesday's victory. He followed that up by going 2-for-3 on Wednesday, adding a triple and a pair of RBI. He finished off the week on the bump, where he tossed over six shutout innings. He struck out four opposing hitters while allowing just three hits. His final line on the bump was 6.2 IP, 4 Ks, 4 BB, 3 H, 0 R. 

'24 Berkley Reents (Wilsonville) - Currently slated inside the state's top-50 prospects in our updated 2024 rankings. Reents played the role of catalyst atop the Wildcats' lineup. He started the week going 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's win. In the middle matchup of the week, Reents went 5-for-5 with a double, two RBI, and four runs scored in a huge victory for the Wildcats. On the week, he went 7-for-10 with a double, five runs scored, four RBI, and two stolen bases.

'25 Mark Wiepert (Wilsonville) - The Oregon State recruit and 2022 PBR Future Games participant is a nationally ranked name-to-know that has put together an impressive sophomore campaign. Wiepert slugged multiple hits and recorded at least one RBI in each of the three contests this week. In Tuesday's win, he went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored. The following day he went 2-for-2 with three RBI. In the series finale, he went 2-for-3 with a triple and four RBI. He finished the week 7-for-9 with eight RBI. He also got to pitch an inning on Friday, retiring the side in order and recording two of those outs via the strikeout.
