This week, Prep Baseball Oregon unveiled our latest 2026 Player Rankings Update. The rankings list is the final update of the year for the junior class and is a culmination of looks obtained by Prep Baseball scouts throughout 2024.

The 2026 Rankings Update is the second of a four week stretch in rankings updates for the high school classes. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for more rankings content, including the first unveiling of the class of 2028 player rankings.

Despite minimal movement in the top ten, many players made significant jumps in the rankings after breakout performances in the late summer/early fall time frame. Below, we spotlight three players who had some of the biggest jumps up the latest rankings list.

Top Risers

Roscoe Mithoefer 3B / RHP / La Salle Catholic, OR / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 51 (⬆️24) / POS: 5 Physical 6'3 athlete showed two-way ability at the Portland Summer ID. Featured a slower delivery from the full wind on the mound with a fastball in the low 80's. Uses larger frame to create leverage and drive the ball in the air at the plate. Averaged an 82.4 MPH exit velocity. Makes the routine play at third base with enough arm to play the position. Overall confidence in game.

Jack Kiesel C / OF / Adrienne C. Nelson, OR / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 57 (⬆️18) / POS: 10 Kiesel climbed into the rankings after a recent look at the Oregon Holiday Hitters event. The righthanded bat starts with low hands, separating well to generate hard contact. The lean, athletic frame showed well overall at the plate. Kiesel posted a 94.6 MPH max and 87.1 MPH average exit velocity, both near the top of the event.

Blake Timothy OF / 1B / Lincoln High School, OR / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 64 (⬆️11) / POS: 9 Well-rounded prospect last seen in the winter at the Oregon Preseason ID, but showed well in the latter stages of 2024. Lean left-handed arm has a fastball with sink in the mid 70's with a CH/CB combination. Strong runner posted a 7.06 second 60-yard dash time. Right-handed bat has plenty of room to add strength while having a solid fundamental foundation.
