At the Top

#1 2027 INF Manny Ehinger (Lakeridge/Oregon)
The wire-to-wire number one ranked player to this point, Ehinger further solidified his status as a top-end talent with his commitment to the University of Oregon. A long-limbed, fluid athlete, Ehinger stood out at the West Coast Program Invite tournament this summer. Ehinger will join what should be a loaded group of players at the 2025 PNW Preseason All-State event this February.

From 6/16/24... "6'4 athlete had a strong freshman year at the 6A level. Overall the frame is still highly projectable with a chance to carry even more strength & power as he develops. Defensively he has fluid actions on the dirt and can play low easily for a taller INF prospect."

#2 2027 C Joe Mendazona (Central)
The lefty bat showed well throughout 2024 and secures the number two overall ranking for the fourth straight list. The 6'2 athlete has also shown ability to stick behind the plate defensively. Mendazona had a massive freshman campaign that he looks to build upon in spring 2025.

From 6/16/24... "Versatile athlete coming off of a highly productive varsity campaign in which he slashed an absurd .518/.615/.890 which included 17 2Bs, 6 3Bs and a HR. The left-handed bat path gives him great plate coverage with ability to drive the ball to all fields and create easy lift."

#3 2027 INF JT Girod (Central)
Girod attended multiple Prep Baseball events in 2024, including the Oregon Preseason ID, Preseason All-State, and the PNW State Games. The 6'0 athlete has present strength that translated to loud exit velocities last winter, including a 96.1 MPH max exit velo. Girod will show his growth in his game at Preseason All-State once again this winter.

From 3/1/24... "Righty was exceptional across multiple looks in the pre-season. Offensively it’s a polished look with balanced actions and a loose, easy barrel. Functional athlete on the dirt with a fluid exchange & quick hands. Arm gets easy carry across the diamond and it translates well to the mound."

New Additions

#16 2027 LHP/OF Jaxon Wetzler (Clackamas)
A standout arm in a 6'4 frame, Wetzler is one of the highest rankings debutees after a strong summer showing. The lefty features a fastball in the low to mid 80's with a sharp breaker that he can back foot to hitters well. He has also flashed a firm changeup to round out a three-pitch mix. Wetzler could be poised for a breakout high school season in the spring.

#23 2027 OF/LHP Kevin Carrieri (Forest Grove)
Stocky, strong-framed lefty makes his rankings debut after earning First Team All-League in the 6A Pacific League as a freshman this spring. The two-way athlete features a balanced, sturdy swing through contact with the ability to drive the ball to all fields. On the mound, the lefty has a repeatable delivery with a fastball that has approached 80 MPH. Will be a prospect to keep an eye on moving forward.

#37 2027 OF/1B Gabriel Cruz (West Linn)
The 6'0 lefty showed out well at the Eugene Summer ID in June. A versatile athlete, Cruz ran a 7.12 60-yard dash with quickness that translated to both the infield and outfield. Features a simple, loose left-handed swing that can meet the ball out front and lift to the pull side. Cruz will put his skills on display at PNW Preseason All-State this February, but his solid game earns him a spot in the latest rankings update.
