As we continue through the offseason, Prep Baseball Oregon is reflecting upon their showcase circuit and highlighting standout performers from 2024. Today, we continue our State Games Spotlight series, specifically looking at players that participated in this year's Pacific Northwest State Games. These spotlights are meant to showcase players that Prep Baseball Scouts felt showed standout tools, large improvements in overall game, or potential upside moving forward at the summer's biggest event. College coaches and recruiters should be sure to keep an eye on these prospects in the coming months.

This week we spotlight 2025 RHP Harrison Smith. The Lake Oswego senior had a solid showing at this year's PNW State Games, working multiple innings on the mound. The righthander is listed 5'11, 170 pounds and is currently uncommitted heading into his senior season.

Smith showcased a three pitch mix, relying heavily on a fastball sitting 81-84 MPH. He showcased two different breaking balls; a slider and a curveball, both sitting in the upper 60's. The fastball played up in the zone, coming from a compact, over-top arm slot. Smith's spin metrics suggest a possible jump in velocity could come, and there is plenty of room to add strength to the frame.
