State Games Spotlight - '26 1B Justin Garland

As we continue through the offseason, Prep Baseball Oregon is reflecting upon their showcase circuit and highlighting standout performers from 2024. Today, we continue our State Games Spotlight series, specifically looking at players that participated in this year's Pacific Northwest State Games. These spotlights are meant to showcase players that Prep Baseball Scouts felt showed standout tools, large improvements in overall game, or potential upside moving forward at the summer's biggest event. College coaches and recruiters should be sure to keep an eye on these prospects in the coming months.

This week we spotlight 2026 1B Justin Garland. The West Salem High School prospect showcased his skills at the State Games, both during the workout and gameplay portion of the event.

Garland showcased a right-handed swing with some batspeed present. Defensively, he showed the ability to move in either direction and throw from multiple angles. With a strong 6'2 frame, Garland will be worth a watch moving forward as he continues to develop.
