2018 Preseason All-State Showcase Analysis: Class of 2020 Pitcher Onlys

94 prospects showcased their abilities over the two days of the 2018 Preseason All-State Showcase. 
Today we continue our analysis of the prospects in attendance by taking a look at pitcher onlys in the Class of 2020.

Class of 2020 Pitcher Onlys (in alphabetical order)

Parker Curry, 2020, RHP, Faith Christian Academy
6-foot-1, 175-pound right-hander sat 81-82 from a high 3/4 arm slot. Delivery is controlled and repeatable with additional velocity likely as athletic frame continues to fill out. Curveball displayed 10/4 rotation at varying velocities ranging from 63 mph to 69 mph. Changeup is thrown at near fastball arm speed at 68-69. Hold velo out of the stretch. 

Tim Nesspor, 2020, LHP, Phoenixville Area
6-foot, 180-pound left-hander worked solely out of the stretch with a compact, repeatable delivery out of a high 3/4 arm slot. Showed a quick arm with command of his fastball at 79-80 with arm side run down in the zone. Slider showed tight, late break at 69-71 and changeup is thrown with good sell at 72-75. Athletic frame has room to fill out and additional velocity is likely in the coming years.

Michael Rabayda, 2020, RHP, Council Rock South
6-foot-1, 175-pound right-hander sat 83-85 from a high 3/4 arm slot with some cut to his fastball. Up tempo delivery with a side rocker step to start and a quick arm. Athletic frame has room to fill out and additional velocity spikes are likely in the future. Curveball showed tight 11/5 rotation and changeup is thrown with very good sell at 79-80 with arm side run. Also showcased a quality cutter at 78-80 with significant cut. Definite follow in this class.

Devin Sweeney, 2020, LHP, Pennsbury
6-foot-1, 180-pound left-hander sat 79-81 with some cut to his fastball from a 3/4 arm slot. Works solely out of the stretch with a balanced, repeatable delivery. Arm action is short in the back and long out front. Curveball shows 2/8 rotation at 66-67 with a tendency to pull the pitch to his glove side. Changeup is thrown at fastball arm speed at 70-71. Long, athletic frame has room for growth and additional velocity is likely.

Dillon Stokes, 2020, RHP, Milton
6-foot, 195-pound right-hander sat 81-83 from a high 3/4 arm slot with an up tempo delivery that includes some hip coil action. Arm action is short in the back and long out front. Physical frame with repeatable mechanics. Projects for velocity spike in the future. Curveball shows 11/5 rotation at 65-67. Changeup is thrown at fastball arm speed at 75-77.
