Dan Cevette
President, NY/PA

The Northeast Procase will take place February 20, 2022 at the Liberty Arena in Williamsport, PA. This event marks the 2nd annual event where committed players from NY/NJ/PA will be on full display showing off all of their hard work this preseason. Currently this event is shaping up to be the most talent filled preseason event in our NY/PA history with 80+ players headed to Williamsport. Of those current 75 players, 17 players are committed to Power 5 conferences.

INSIDE THE NORTHEAST PROCASE

Kross Howarth 3B / RHP / Methacton , PA / 2024

Howarth stands with a lean and lanky 6-foot-4, 185-pound frame (as of last year). At first glance he checks all the next-level prospect boxes. Moves laterally with athleticism, hands are quick and clean, arm-action is loose and fluid. At the plate there's confidence in his approach. Balanced setup, toe tap with a stride for timing, hands are quick and powerful creating above average barrel speed. His swing is fluid and full with power signs to his gaps already.

From the bump his ceiling is lofty and as he matures I could see him becoming a pitcher-only at the next-level. The frame is optimal and the arm-action is fluid. He releases the ball from a power 3/4 slot with a FB already in the upper 80's (expect to see 90+ this preseason). He already shows feel for an arm-side CH, his CB is loose at times but has time to develop. Overall, Howarth is a high-level prospect who is already ranked No. 401 in the Country (2024 class) and No. 8 in Pennsylvania's 2024 class.
