Additions to Pennsylvania Schedule of Events

By Greg Williams
PA Director of Scouting

The recruiting landscape continues to change and be reshaped. The Pennsylvania Class of 2014 is off to a flying start with 54 of the top 100 ranked players in the class already announcing their college commitments. That number is likely to continue to grow with the early signing period in November just around the corner. Following are the most recent events to be added to the late fall and winter schedule. Look for additional events to be added in the very near future including the first ever West Virginia Preseason All-State Showcase.

Unsigned Senior Showcase - October 19

In an effort to provide prospects in the senior class a final fall opportunity to get seen, we have just added an Unsigned Senior Showcase to be held at B2B Baseball Academy in Manheim, PA on October 19. This event will give unsigned seniors from Pennsylvania and West Virginia, as well as prospects from surrounding states, the opportunity to display their abilities a final time before the early signing period. We will also be accepting select underclassmen that are looking to possibly make a commitment prior to their junior season.

Elite Prospect SHowcase - November 2

This event is designed for the top prospects in the Class of 2014-2017. Top performers at this event will be attempting to secure an invitation to the Super 60 Pro Showcase in February (Class of 2014/2015 only); to the Preseason All-State Showcase in February (all classes); to the PA Top Prospect Games in June (Class of 2015-2017); to the PA Underclass Games in July (Class of 2016-2017); and to the Under Armour Midwest Future Games in August (Class of 2016-2017).

Preseason ALL-State Showcase - February 15 & 16

This will be the premier event of the winter. Last year's event drew 110 of the top prospects in the state and has forced a move to a two day event this winter. Infielders and outfielders will showcase their abilities on Day One of the event (February 15) with pitchers and catchers set to do the same on Day Two (February 16). This event will line up many of the top ranked players in the Class of 2014-2016 side by side for scouts to compare.
