Class of 2016 Spotlight: C/RHP Jake Jessell

Today we continue a series of articles looking at the top Class of 2016 prospects in the state in preparation for the release of the updated rankings scheduled for this Friday.

Jake JessellAt No. 3 in PA and No. 17 in the PBR combined rankings, C/RHP Jake Jessell has displayed two-way abilities that make him one of the top prospects in this class. The 6-foot, 220-pound University of Pittsburgh commit has a fastball that sits in the mid-80s and is capable of touching 90 mph off the mound. He has displayed consistent pop times of 1.97-2.05 behind the plate and has legitimate power potential as a right-handed hitter with a bat exit velocity of 89 mph. Jessell was the loan Class of 2016 prospect to participate as a member of Team Pennsylvania at the 2013 PBR Midwest Future Games.
