By Greg Williams
PA Director of Scouting

Today we continue a series of articles looking at the top Class of 2016 prospects in the state in preparation for the release of the updated rankings scheduled for this Friday.

Max KranickAt No. 4 in PA and No. 33 in the PBR combined rankings, RHP/SS Max Kranick has made a significant rise in the rankings over the past six months and may not be done climbing. Kranick is a long, lean 6-foot-2, 160-pound prospect that appears to have a considerable amount of room to add to his frame yet. The righty sits 84-86 and can run it up to the plate at 88 mph. Kranick became the 3rd prospect in this class to make a verbal commitment when he announced his intentions to attend the University of Virginia recently. He is one of three Kranick brothers to dot the Valley View HS roster last year. As a freshman he played alongside brothers John, a Keystone College freshman, and Connor, a Class of 2014 outfielder.
