Player to to Watch List

Class of 2025 / Top 10

David Shields LHP / OF / Mt. Lebanon, PA / 2025

The 6-foot-1, 185lb Miami University recruit features some of the more pure arm-action in the state with a durable, athletic frame. A two-sport athlete who should take over the starting QB role next fall, the southpaw runs the FB into the mid-80’s (83-85 mph) and tunnels the offspeed to the bottom of the zone.

Kaden Hathaway 3B / RHP / Trinity, PA / 2025

Another premium athlete with impact tools at 6-foot-3, 180lbs, Hathaway opened things up at the Preseason All-State Southwest with a 6.88 60-yard dash. The primary third-baseman is a two-way threat with mid-90’s exits and a loose 86 mph FB, showing polish on either side of the ball.

Ajonte Bullock OF / RHP / Gettysburg Area, PA / 2025

A Team PA standout from the ‘19 Junior Future Games, Bullock is a true centerfielding ballhawk with plenty of twitch and a quick first step . The footspeed obviously plays in a leadoff role, as the offensive skillset continues rounding out with additional power coming soon.

Derek Smail 1B / RHP / Clarion Area, PA / 2025

Standing a physical 6-foot, 225-pounds, the two-way prospect utilizes pure power across the board with advanced strength for his age. The right-handed hitter turns the barrel with confidence, producing exit velocities into the mid-90’s with 70+ mph bat-speed. An 85 mph FB, 70 mph CB combo attacks from a compact delivery on the mound.

Coy Allman C / RHP / Donegal , PA / 2025

One of the more seasoned backstops in recent memory at this age, Allman boasts a plus defensive profile with natural feel in the catch and throw phase. The 5-foot-11, 175-pounder continues gaining strength at each look with simple barrel-awareness at the plate and is expected to handle a big role this high school season as a true Frosh.

Ty Kaunas SS / 2B / Nativity BVM, PA / 2025

Lean and projectable with a high-waisted build at 5-foot-9, 140lbs, Kaunas creates good barrel-lag at the plate using a moderate effort in the approach. The offense is the carrying tool at the moment, though the middle infielder can pick it with the best of them on the left side of the diamond.

Caleb Barnett 3B / RHP / William Penn Charter, PA / 2025

The uber-projectable 6-foot-4, 195-pounder stands out in uniform and had a recent power jump into the 95 exit/362 foot max distance range. We’ve seen similar success in gameplay with a mature approach that holds onto the back leg until it’s time to burst. The tall righty also wins on the mound up to 82 mph, commanding a three-pitch arsenal with more in the tank.

Ben Peterson C / OF / Canon-McMillan, PA / 2025

Ultra-efficient in a lean, lengthy 5-foot-11, 150-pound frame, Peterson enjoyed a breakout summer at the 2021 Junior Future Games, and dropped pop times as low as 1.98 this winter. The right-handed hitter keeps getting better offensively, recording a 94 mph peak exit velocity with improved juice to the pull-side. High upside prospect that still has a couple jumps left.

Jason Fultz 3B / RHP / Cathedral Prep, PA / 2025

The 6-foot-1, 190lb corner infielder got the start and singled to CF in his first high school at-bat the other day, showing a sign of future things to come. Aggressive to contact from the right-side with a clean first move, Fultz connects to the ground for easy power production, up to a 74 mph bat-speed.

Christian Lucarelli RHP / 3B / Riverside, PA / 2025

The ceiling is still rapidly expanding for the 6-foot, 180-pounder, flashing some of the loud arm-talent he possesses in his first HS start where he held upper-80’s throughout. The right-hander commands true starter’s projection and competes in the zone, evidenced by a long history of throwing leverage innings for Beaver Valley on the national scene.
