District 10 Player of the Year: SS/2B Stephen Sada

Stephen S.Saegertown HS head coach Tim Crum had the luxury of penciling in one name in the lead-off spot in the batting order for the past four years, SS/2B Stephen Sada. With Saegertown's loss to Quaker Valley in the state playoffs ending the 2013 campaign, so did Sada's career in a Panthers' uniform. He will move on to the next chapter in his career at Miami of Ohio.

The 5-foot-8, 155-pound middle infielder is Prep Baseball Report's District 10 Player of the year for 2013. Sada, who runs a 6.60 60-yard dash, has been terrorizing defenses in District 10 and in the state for the past four years. The left-handed hitter has the rare ability to affect every game he is a part of with his foot speed and with his bat. Sada was equally adept at laying down a bunt single and then lining a gap shot for a triple in his next at bat.

Sada hit .439 as a freshman with 25 RBI and 25 runs scored and never looked back. He is likely to see action at 2B early on in his college career and don't be surprised if he sees some action in center field as well with his plus foot speed.
