TOP PROSPECTS

Jake PackerJake Packer, C, Wyoming Valley West HS (PA)
Physical 6-foot-3, 185-pound right-handed hitter starts from a narrow, square stance and takes a short leg-hang stride to initiate his swing. Showcased above average barrel awareness and the ability to backspin the baseball with a bat exit velocity of 85 mph. Swing is short to the baseball with present power to the pull side. Ran a 7.07 60-yard dash and showcased the top pop times among all catchers at the event at 2.08-2.18 on throws of 76 mph from the crouch.

Austin OdellAustin Odell, RHP, Bishop Shanahan HS (PA)
Previously committed to Hofstra, the 6-foot-1, 170-pound right-hander is among the top uncommitted pitchers in the state. Sat 85-87 on this date from a 3/4 arm slot with solid lower half drive and balance at finish. Fastball has significant arm-side run. Among his three-pitch assortment of complimentary pitches, his slider at 74-75 has some crossfire action to it while his 11/5 breaking curveball shows tight rotation at 67-70. Also showcased a changeup at 74-75 with fastball arm speed.

REMAINING PROSPECTS (IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER)

James Ferioli, RHP, Roman Catholic HS (PA)
Mature 6-foot-2, 185-pound frame. Sat 77-79 from a high 3/4 arm slot with some sink to his fastball. Repeatable mechanics include a short, side rocker step with a high knee stack and good balance at finish. Curveball displayed 11/5 rotation at 64-66 while changeup showed cutting action at 75-77. Far from max effort in his delivery, Ferioli is likely to see an up tick in velocity moving forward.

Colt Narciso, SS, Pope John Paul II HS (PA)
5-foot-10, 155-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a lift-and-replace stride. Displayed a flat barrel path through the hitting zone with loose wrists and a feel for the barrel. Barreled the baseball routinely with a bat exit velocity of 81 mph. Ran a 6.67 60-yard dash and showcased active feet with a soft glove hand defensively. Makes plays on the move with confidence and showcased the ability to make throws from multiple arm angles with 76 mph arm strength across the diamond.

Brett Seitz, LHP, Bishop McCort HS (PA)
6-foot-2, 150-pound lefty sat 76-77 from a 3/4 arm slot with a balance, fluid delivery. Pounded the strike zone with very little wasted effort. Frame should be able to carry considerable weight gain over coming years. Showcased a 1/7 breaking curveball at 66-68 and a slider with flatter break at 68-69. Changeup was thrown with good sell at 70-74.

Paul Zappala, OF, Garnet Valley HS (PA)
6-foot-3, 195-pound right-handed hitter starts from an open stance and initiates his swing from a high-hands load with a short, lift-and-replace stride. Demonstrated some lower half glide that limits the power potential in his athletic frame. Registered an 84 mph bat exit velocity on this date but has shown 87 mph previously. Ran a 7.16 60-yard dash and showcased 78 mph arm strength from the outfield. Displayed the ability to play through the baseball defensively and also has the ability to play first base.
