By Greg Williams

Austin ClauserJust one day remains until PBR Pennsylvania's Elite Prospect Showcase on October 29th at Keystone State Baseball Academy in Manheim. Today, we conclude a series of previews on prospects who will be in attendance, as we highlight Schuylkill Haven HS 2019 C Austin Clauser.

The 6-foot, 170-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance with a high hands load and initiates his swing with a short lift-and-replace stride. A flat barrel path and solid lower half action creates a bat exit velocity of 83 mph. Clauser ran a 7.53 60-yard dash and displayed advanced defensive abilities for a player his age. He displayed a solid defensive setup and is a quiet receiver who creates a soft wall when blocking. Clauser flashed above average arm strength (77 mph from the crouch) and registered pop times of 2.13-2.22 at the Western PA College Prospect Showcase in August.
