Elite Prospect Showcase Spotlight: RHP Scott Leitholf

Scott LeitholfThree weeks remain until PBR Pennsylvania's Elite Prospect Showcase on November 7th at Keystone State Baseball Academy in Manheim. Today, we continue our series of previews on prospects who will be in attendance, as we highlight Northern York 2017 right-handed pitcher Scott Leitholf.

As Leitholf has added an inch and fifteen pounds to his now 6-foot-5, 175-pound frame since last summer, he has experienced an accompanying velocity jump. Representing Team PA at this summer's PBR Future Games, his fastball sat 83-85 and touched 86-mph. An upright finish and tendency to work around his front side indicate another jump could be pending future mechanical refinement. Leitholf complements his fastball with a low-70s change-up and a mid-70s curveball with 11/5 action that has developed well over the past year-plus. Leitholf is currently ranked #28 in the Pennsylvania class of 2017.
