Scouting Report
Physical: Projectable, highly athletic 6-foot-3, 195lb build. 7.20 runner in the 60.
Offensively: LHH. Upright, balanced stance with some coil present. Utilized a leg-kick stride to initiate the swing through an imposing, slightly uphill path into the hitting zone. Efficient bat-speed that got off consistently towards the front of the plate, up to a T97 mph exit velocity and 353 foot distance. Mostly pull-side, extra-base hit approach, which started and stopped quickly in the hips.
Defensively: The first baseman featured quality actions around the bag, bending at the waist with a soft glove-hand. Fielded off the center of his body and showed off an accurate 81 mph arm-strength across the dirt (H ¾).
Pitching: RHP. Begins from the far left corner; high leg-lift and complete downhill move at footstrike. FB ranged between 80-82 mph with heavy action for strikes, mixing a hard-sweeping 65-66 mph CB and faded upper-70’s CH (1461).
Physical: 6-foot-3, 170 pounds; Athletic, long build. 7.24 runner in the 60.
Offensively: LHH. Even setup, with feet wide spread; flat bat to start. Extended take back of the hands with a toe-tap for timing. Slides weight forward pre-contact. while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a flat swing path with a high finish. More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 95 MPH via Trackman.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep hop while showing active feet. Hands are out in front with a clean transfer. Long arm swing from a standard 3/4 arm slot. INF - 79 MPH.
Pitching: Uses a glove side setup while using a side step. Mid chest leg drive with shoulders above the hips. Has a long stride landing inline with the plate. Long arm swing while arm stays in line with 2B; high 3/4 slot. Recoils with finish. FB: Peak velo of 81 MPH, while sitting 79-80 MPH; straight action. CB: 64-65 MPH; showed depth. CH: 70-72 MPH; runs.
