Fall College Prospect Program: Updated Week 3 Rosters

The Fall College Prospect Program moves to Misericordia University (9/7) and Mansfield University (9/8). With all that goes on in the fall with prospects involved in other sports and travel tournaments, the rosters and pitching rotations have been altered slightly from those announced earlier this week.

For daily updates on remaining available roster spots, results and highlights from the previous weekend and what to watch for in the weeks to come, follow the Fall College Prospect Program Blog.

+ Following is a brief look at some of the pitchers that will headline action over the course of the 3rd weekend.

Misericordia University (September 7)

Eric LigdaRHP Eric Ligda, Avon Grove HS, Class of 2014

Ligda is a 6-foot-5, 185-pound righty that sits 82-85 with significant run to his fastball and a solid split finger that he uses as his out pitch. The uncommitted senior threw effectively at Temple University in Week 2 of the program.

RHP T.J. Pagan, Penn Charter HS, Class of 2014

Pagan is a 6-foot-3, 230-pound prospect that was an all Inter-AC League selection in 2013 and was named to the WWBA All-Tournament team this summer.

Joe ThompsonLHP Joe Thompson, Avon Grove HS, Class of 2014

Thompson is a 6-foot, 160-pound lefty that gets everyone out. He sits 80-82 and has command of an assortment of complimentary pitches. Thompson's changeup is outstanding and he throws it regularly to both sides of the plate.

RHP Jon Fisher, Plymouth-Whitemarsh HS, Class of 2015

Fisher is a 5-foot-11, 180-pound righty with very sound mechanics. He sits 83-85 with command of a 73 mph curveball. Fisher participated for Team PA in the Big 26 Classic in July.

John MatthewsRHP John Matthews, Punxsutawney HS, Class of 2016

Matthews is ranked No. 10 in the PA Class of 2016 and has the type of loose arm action that indicates significant increases in velocity are in store. Matthews sits 80-82 with good late life to his fastball and commands three complimentary pitches for strikes.

+ Players will register from 8:45-9:00, take live batting practice from (9:15-10:00), take extended infield/outfield from 10:15-10:40 and then play a nine inning game beginning at 11:00am

Mansfield University (September 8)

Zach GuthLHP Zach Guth, Franklin HS, Class of 2015

Guth made a big impression this summer with solid performances at the PA Top Prospect Games, PA Underclass Games and the Big 26 Classic. He followed that up with a dominant performance in the fall program at Widener University striking out eight batters in three innings while touching 87 mph. The 6-foot-3, 165-pound lefty sits in the mid-80's with the ability to cut and run his fastball.

RHP/OF John Bowman, Canton HS, Class of 2015

Bowman is a 6-foot-1, 170-pound righty that is also the quarterback for the Canton HS football team. Bowman sat 85-87 at the PA Underclass games in July.

Collin LiberatoreRHP Collin Liberatore, Greensburg Central Catholic HS, Class of 2015

Liberatore sits 81-83 with a dominant changeup. He throws the pitch at fastball arm speed with good late downward action. Liberatore is a 6-foot-2, 165-pound prospect that is likely to attend a year of prep school and come out in the Class of 2016.

RHP Braydon Nault, Westwood Collegiate (Canada), Class of 2014

Nault is an interesting prospect at 6-foot-2, 135-pounds. He will be making the trip from Winnipeg in Manitoba, Canada. By car, the trip will be some 24 hours to Mansfield University. Nault is an excellent student and was named his school's Athlete of the Year in 2013. Nault is a SS/RHP that will participate at both stops this weekend, taking the mound for an inning on Saturday and coming back to throw two innings on Sunday.

Devon WalkerRHP Devon Walker, DuBois HS, Class of 2014

Walker is the reigning PBR District 9 Player of the Year. He is a very steady performer that has legitimate two-way talent. The 5-foot-9, 165-pound righty sits in the low 80's with solid command of a 76 mph slider.

+ Players will register from 8:45-9:00, take live batting practice from (9:15-10:00), take extended infield/outfield from 10:15-10:40 and then play a nine inning game beginning at 11:00am
