CLASS OF 2019 two-way prospects / pitchers

Adam SchultzAdam Schultz, OF/RHP, Fleetwood Area HS (PA)
6-foot, 175-pound primary outfielder ran an event best 6.66 60-yard dash and flashed 83 mph arm strength from the outfield during his defensive workout. Schultz displayed solid routes to the baseball and above average jumps during tournament action as a member of Team PBR.  The right-handed hitter hits from a wide, square stance and initiates his swing from a deep load position leading to a significant arm bar.  Schultz went 1-for-5 with two walks, a stolen base and an RBI in game action and worked two perfect innings on day two of tournament action off the mound sitting 77-78.  The righty also displayed a curveball at 69-70 with 10/4 rotation and a changeup at 70-71 while recording four ground ball outs.

Camden ShawverCamden Shawver, RHP/1B, Mifflin County HS (PA)
6-foot-2, 195-pound primary pitcher sat 76-78 out of a high 3/4 arm slot with some hip coil. Initiates delivery with a side rocker step and displayed good balance througout delivery.  Curveball sat 68-71 with short 10/4 break and 71 mph changeup showed some arm side fade.  The right-handed hitter starts from an open stance and initiates his swing with a leg hang stride.  An arm bar creates significant length in the swing but the ball jumps off his barrel when on time to the hitting zone.  Showcased an 81 mph bat exit velocity and ran a 7.25 60-yard dash.  Moves well around the bag at first base and flashed a soft glove hand with accurate 73 mph arm strength across the diamond.

Joe ValentiJoe Valenti, LHP, North Penn HS (PA)
5-foot-10, 135-pound lefty sat 76-78 from a short arm arm delivery from a high 3/4 arm slot with a hook in the back.  Hides the ball in the glove well and hip coil at stack position adds to that deception. Delivery is fluid and balanced. Curveball showed above average 2-plane bite with 1/7 rotation at 63-65. Also fashioned a changeup at 68-69 with near fastball arm speed.  Significant velocity gains are likely in near future as Valent adds strength to his frame and continues to mature physically.  Additional work to lengthen the take away phase of his delivery will expedite that process.

Noah WigginsNoah Wiggins, LHP/OF, Spring Mills HS (WV)
5-foot-9, 145-pound primary pitcher sat 77-78 from a 3/4 arm slot with late sinking action to his fastball. Rhythmic delivery starts with a side rocker step. Wiggins stays balanced throughout and has a chance to add significant velocity through physical maturity and strength gains. Curveball sat 63-65 with 1/7 rotation and 65 mph changeup is still a work in progress.  Slider at 68-70 has tight late break and is a pitch that will get outs at the next level.  Wiggins ran a 7.26 60-yard dash and flashed 82 mph arm strength defensively with athletic actions during his outfield workout.  The right-handed hitter starts from a narrow, slightly open stance and utilizes a toe-tap stride to initiate his swing.  Stays behind baseball well and displayed a solid feel for the barrel with a bat exit velocity of 79 mph.
