2015  RHP Colin Claus (West allegheny)

Colin ClausClaus had a breakout junior season going 9-1 with a 1.76 ERA. Along the way he was name 2nd Team All-State and All-Section. The uncommitted senior registered 81 strikeouts in 67.2 innings of work. Claus worked four scoreless innings striking out six while not allowing a runner to advance past second base at the PBR Mid-Atlantic Border Battle in July. The 6-foot-3, 220-pound uncommitted senior sat 81-83 from a high 3/4 arm slot with some arm side run to his fastball. Claus also displayed command of a 68 mph curveball with 11/5 rotation, a 73 mph slider and a 75 mph changeup. The righty was down a tick in velocity having sat in the mid-80s for much of his 9-1 high school season. Claus has a projectable frame and his fastball shows late life that resulted in plenty of swing thrus from opposing hitters.
