Class of 2016 corner infielders

Top Prospect:

Nicky D'Amore1. 3B/RHP Nicky D'Amore (Neumann-Goretti HS) is a 6-foot, 180-pound athlete that showed well in all facets of the game, solidifying his spot as the No. 11 ranked prospect in the Class of 2016. The right-handed hitter utilizes a square stance and has good rhythm to his swing. He barreled everything in batting practice and showcased the ability to use all fields. D'Amore also displayed athletic actions and the ability to make plays on the move at 3B with an 82 mph arm across the diamond. He sat 80-82 in his one inning of work on the mound with a quick arm action and pounded the strike zone from a high 3/4 arm slot.

Best of the Rest:

2. 1B/LHP Alex Burman (Episcopal Academy) is a 5-foot-10, 180-pound left-handed hitter with a big upside. He showcased a square stance with good balance throughout his swing and solid extension. Burman barreled the baseball routinely in batting practice with a bat exit velocity of 76 mph. He also flashed a soft glove hand and good feet around the bag at 1B. Burman will be an interesting follow in this class with the potential to develop into a middle of the order left-handed hitter.

3. 1B/3B Tom Roginsky (Bethlehem Catholic HS) has a projectable frame at 6-foot, 180-pounds and showcased athletic actions around the bag at 1B with throws of 70 mph across the diamond. The right-handed hitter showcased a strong lower half and good barrel whip with a bat exit velocity of 80 mph during batting practice. He went 1-for-2 in game action at Lehigh University.
