Nick StonerOn a day better suited for practicing indoors, Manheim Central and Elizabethtown Area battled to a 1-1 draw through eight innings prior to the game being called due to darkness.

The game began with a steady light rain with the temperature hovering around 40 degrees. Far from ideal hitting conditions were added to by the fact that right-hander Nick Stoner (top right), No. 4 in the PA Class of 2017, was on the mound for Elizabethtown.

Stoner worked 5.2 innings of one hit baseball, allowing no runs with 13 strikeouts exiting with a 1-0 lead. 2018 lefty Taylor Rohrer (middle right), a George Washington commit, was Taylor Rohrernearly as effective working three scoreless innings with no hits allowed in a starting role for Manheim Central.

The Barons managed to tie the game in the bottom of the 7th inning when 2019 shortstop Drew Mummau (bottom right), a Liberty commit, lined a one out single to left for his second hit of the day. Mummau advanced to second base on an errant pick-off attempt and to third on a wild pitch before scoring the tying run on a sacrifice fly by Tyler Simon.

Drew MummauMummau, the third pitcher of the afternoon for Central, worked the final 2.1 innings scoreless allowing the Barons the opportunity to tie the game. Logan Yohn worked the final 2.1 innings for Elizabethtown allowing one unearned run while working out of a bases loaded, two out jam in the bottom of the 8th inning to preserve the tie.
