Garnet Valley 6, Strath Haven 3

BuliskyThe Jaguars leadoff man, '15 2B Stephen Palis, was indeed that, as he began the game with a home run and reached base to start a three-run seventh inning rally to make a winner out of uncommitted '14 RHP Nick Bulisky (right). Following Palis' blast, Strath Haven took the lead back in the bottom of the first on a 2-run double by '15 OF Corey Ziring. Bulisky then settled down, at one point retiring eleven in a row, and limited the Panthers to one unearned run the remainder of his outing.

'15 RHP Ashton Raines (7 H, BB, 7 K) kept Strath Haven in the game through six innings, before Garnet Valley broke the game open against the bullpen in the seventh. A two-out run-scoring single from Chance Malek (George Washington) preceded a 2-RBI single by '15 OF Ben Faso (his third hit of the day).

Coatesville Area 7, WC Henderson 1

Ho hum, another double-digit strikeout performance for North Carolina State commit Brian Brown (6 IP, H, 3 BB, HBP, 10 K). The southpaw retired the first eleven hitters he faced, and, although his command briefly escaped him toward the end of his outing, he bore down and struck out Henderson's 3-4-5 hitters to cap his night. Brown's change-up is so good, he could tell hitters it was coming and they'd still have a hard time getting the barrel on it.

UrbanCoatesville gave it's ace an early lead in the bottom of the first when speedster Aaron Cummings singled and scored three batters later when Bobby Stewart laced an opposite field single. Stewart (2-2, 2B, BB) doubled to start a four-run fourth inning rally that included RBI from '16 OF Jared Urban (right) and '15 2B Victor Gabriel, plus two from Cummings. Urban (2-3, 3 RBI) singled home two more runs to cap the Red Raiders scoring in the fifth.
