Elizabethtown hitters did just enough offensively against Penn Manor senior right-hander Matt Tulli to scratch across a pair of 4th inning runs in a game dominated by pitchers.  Tulli allowed just four hits on the evening while striking out eight and allowing two walks.

Nick StonerThe 4th inning began with a single by Justin Shelly who then moved to second on a stolen base.  Following a Casey Cooper walk a sacrifice bunt that resulted in an errant throw led to the game's first run.  Chad Caley followed with a sacrifice fly to score Cooper with the second run of the inning and as it turned out, the final run of the game.

As good as Tulli was, Elizabethtown right-hander Nick Stoner was even better.  The Bloomsburg recruit, ranked No. 4 in the current PA Class of 2017 rankings, went the distance on 91 pitches. Stoner faced two batters over the minimum allowing just a Grant Gale single to lead off the game and a walk in the 5th inning.  On the evening Stoner recorded 17 strikeouts, threw 70 of his 91 pitches for strikes, and allowed just two balls to leave the infield.

Shelly led the Elizabethtown offense with a 2-for-3 night. Stoner and Logan Yohn also recorded hits for the Bears in moving to 9-0 on the season.
