top CATCHER

Dylan SwarmerDylan Swarmer, 2018, Knoch
6-foot, 185-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a leg-lift stride. Displayed above average barrel whip (92 mph) with some present power during a solid round of batting practice. Early weight transfer at times leads to timing issues but ball jumps of barrel when all parts work together. Registered a top pop time of 2.06 on throws of 74 mph from the crouch and ran a 7.31 60-yard dash. Quiet receiver has the potential to play early defensively at the next level.

TOP CORNeR INFIELDER

Nate ThomasNate Thomas, 2018, 3B, St. Elizabeth (DE)
Thomas immediately passes the eye test, standing at 6-foot-5, 200-pounds and running a 6.73 60-yard dash. The left-handed hitter starts from an open stance and takes a slow, controlled, knee-to-knee stride to square. Load includes a hand hitch and significant amount of barrel waggle, but the ball jumps off his bat (92 mph exit velocity) when he is on time. Swing has a bit of length, but he creates good leverage and attacks the baseball with an intent to elevate it. Defensively, he showed solid feet, an ability to complete the slow roller play, and 78 mph arm strength from a short arm action with low elbow. Appears to have a shot to stick at the hot corner, although is athletic enough to man a corner outfield spot as well.

TOP MiDDLE INFIELDER

Steven MillerSteven Miller, 2018, North Hills
Athletic 6-foot-1, 175-pound frame. Currently shows gap power potential (88 mph exit velocity) and is a plus runner (6.69 60-yard dash). Right-handed hitter whose hands work fairly well and will free up even more as he irons out his lower half. Initial movement varies from a small toe-tap to a rock of weight to the back side sans front foot. Starts from an open stance and strides to a wide base with forward hip slide that limits ability to fully incorporate lower half into swing. Exhibited some feel for the barrel despite not always being on time during this round of BP. Defensively, he exhibits good footwork, a soft glove, and 82 mph arm strength, while he would benefit from working to field the baseball on the glove side of his body instead of off his right hip.

TOP OUTFIELDeR

Connor RakowConnor Rakow, 2019, Franklin Area

Athletic 6-foot, 170-pound frame and athletic actions across the board make Rakow the top outfield prospect at this event. The sophomore ran a 6.88 60-yard dash, flashed 85 mph arm strength from the outfield and displayed a fluid right-handed swing with an 88 mph bat exit velocity. The right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and utilizes a short, leg-lift stride and solid hip turn to create considerable barrel whip. Rakow gets to extension routinely and shows present gap-to-gap power with an above average feel for the barrel.

TOP PITCHER

Jacob MarcusJacob Marcus, 2018, RHP, Conestoga
5-foot-10, 155-pound junior raised his stock dramatically throwing the bullpen of the day. The righty sat 84-85 from a 3/4 arm slot with a hip coil delivery that leads to some arm-side run to his fastball. Marcus is long in back with a very quick arm that gives his fastball late life. A pair of quality secondary offerings give Marcus three pitches to work off with the potential to get outs. His slider shows tight rotation and late action at 72-74 out of the same arm slot as his fastball. Marcus also showed very good feel for a 79 mph changeup thrown at fastball arm speed. At its best the pitch showed significant arm-side run.

TOP Two-Way Player

Austin BradburyAustin Bradbury, 2019, OF/RHP, Cedar Cliff

At 6-foot-2, 190-pounds, Bradbury looks the part of a high school senior but has yet to suit up for his sophomore season. The right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and initiates significant barrel whip with a weight shift stride and strong hip rotation. Bradbury barreled the baseball consistently during his round of batting practice with a bat exit velocity of 94 mph. He showcased athletic actions in the outfield with 91 mph arm strength and above average foot speed (6.89 60-yard dash).

The righty sat 81-84 during his bullpen session with some hip coil to his delivery out of a high 3/4 arm slot. He also flashed command of a drop down fastball at similar velocity with some arm-side run. Bradbury's curveball shows 11/5 shape at 66-68 and he also displayed a slider at 72 mph. His changeup at 70-75 is his best secondary pitch at this point, showing arm-side run with good arm speed. While likely a position player at the next level, the sophomore shows the arm strength from the outfield that could transla
