Inside the Northeast Procase: 2023 RHP Carter Cowburn (Hughesville / Michigan commit)

Dan Cevette
President, NY/PA

The Northeast Procase will take place February 20, 2022 at the Liberty Arena in Williamsport, PA. This event marks the 2nd annual event where committed players from NY/NJ/PA will be on full display showing off all of their hard work this preseason. Currently this event is shaping up to be the most talent filled preseason event in our NY/PA history with 80+ players headed to Williamsport. Of those current 75 players, 17 players are committed to Power 5 conferences.

INSIDE THE NORTHEAST PROCASE

Carter Cowburn RHP / 1B / Hughesville, PA / 2023

Cowburn is no stranger to the PBR family having attended five events since 2019. Each time we see him he continues to make improvements both physically and from a skill standpoint. Currently the Michigan commit stands 6-foot-5, 240-pounds from a large frame. Currently he is ranked No. 31 in the 2023 class in Pennsylvania.

His delivery is repeatable with average tempo, drives down the power line, uses a long arm-action, releases ball from a mid-3/4 slot. FB peaked at 89 mph last summer but expect the burly righty to continue to see velocity gains. He also offers a straight change-up and 10/5 shape breaking ball. Considering Cowburn's size, age, and consistent growth, expect to see big things from him over the next two years, including this February's Northeast Procase.
