2019's to JUMP ON:

Ryan Terrents SS / RHP / Huntingtown, MD / 2019

The University of Towson commit showed his all around ability to pitch and play shortstop at last week’s TPG. Terrents is athletic and has a great frame at 6’3’’ 180 lbs. He was smooth at shortstop and showed a strong arm off during the workout hitting 88 mph across the diamond. At the plate, Terrents is aggressive a really attacks the ball well (92 mph exit velo). He was 2-for-3 in the game and showed off his power during BP as the ball just jumps off the bat. On the mound he pitches downhill and sat 83-84 topping out at 85 mph with a 72-73 mph breaking ball and a 74-75 mph change-up. There is definitely more in the tank on the mound.

Seif Ingram SS / 2B / Avalon, MD / 2019

Ingram had a very nice TPG. He has great hands and is extremely smooth in the field making several very nice plays at shortstop and second base. Ingram showcased his arm strength during the workout hitting 86 mph on the gun. At the plate, Ingram is a line drive type hitter with occasional pop. He was 2-for-4 with a single and a double (both line drives). At 5’11’’ 165 lbs., his power will continue to come as he gets stronger and adds more weight. Very nice middle infielder in the 2019 class.

Cameron King / SS / Avalon, MD / 2019

King has good rhythm and balance at the plate and really stays behind the ball well. He is a patient line drive type guy with gap to gap power and hit a double oppo in the game. In BP he showed his ability to spray the ball all around the field. In the infield, King is smooth and has good actions. He works through the ball very well and stays on his throws. He also showed the ability to make throws from all different arm angles throughout the day. Another nice middle infielder.

Derek Ohringer SS / C / Eleanor Roosevelt, MD / 2019

Ohringer had a nice TPG in the middle infield and at the plate. He was 3-for-4 on the day at the plate with two doubles. He uses the whole field in his approach at the plate and really made a couple very nice adjustments on breaking balls staying back and driving them oppo during the game. Ohringer moves well in the infield and works through the ball. He showed the ability to make several nice throws from different arm angles throughout the day as well. Several very nice middle infielders showed well at the TPG and Ohringer was up there with all of them.

Nico Santoro 2B / SS / John Carroll, MD / 2019

Santoro is a line drive type hitter and went 2-for-3 at the plate during Tuesday’s Top Prospect Games. He plays the infield with active feet and showed a very quick exchange. As he continues to fill out he will be another nice middle infielder to look at.

Dylan Young RHP / SS / Chesapeake (AA), MD / 2019

Young was a dual guy at this years TPG. He had a very nice day at the plate going 3-for-4 doing a great job of staying inside the baseball and using the whole field. He is a line-drive type hitter with quick hands and an aggressive swing. Young plays with active feet in the infield and works through the ball. He was 82 mph across the diamond from shortstop. Young also pitched and sat 79-81 topping out at 82 mph with a bigger 12/6 69 mph breaking ball and a 74 mph change-up. He was smooth and balanced in his delivery with a longer arm action quick arm speed.

Zach Crampton SS / 2B / Saint James, MD / 2019

Crampton is an interesting prospect with a nice 6’0’’ 190 lb. frame. He hits from a wide stance and had two solid rounds of line drives during BP. He is quiet and balanced at the plate with a level swing path (92 mph exit velo). In the infield Crampton moves well, works through the ball and threw 82 mph across the diamond. Interesting prospect to watch as he continues to fill out.

Tommy Fitzpatrick 1B / OF / Mt. Hebron, MD / 2019

Fitzpatrick showed a nice approach at the plate from the left side during last week’s TPG. He really stays inside the ball well, can go oppo, and showed pull side pop. He has a lanky, loose 6’2’’ 185 lb. frame at first base with room to fill out. Nice actions and smooth around the bag at first. Fitzpatrick is a very interesting lefty/lefty first base prospect to take a look at.

2020 to KNOW:

Jake Gelof: We highlighted Gelof last week in our “Early Thoughts” as he was impressive at the plate, in the field, and on the mound. Gelof is athletic and has good hands and actions in the infield to go along with his strong arm. He was 94 mph from the OF and 92 mph across the diamond at shortstop. He is a line drive type guy at the plate with power to the gaps. He showed more power in the bat to the pull side taking two off the wall in BP. As he continues to fill out and put on some weight, his power numbers should continue to rise. On the bump, Gelof sat 86-86 mph topping out at 88 mph with a tight 12/6 73-74 mph breaking ball and a 81 mph change-up. His delivery is smooth and balanced and throws with a longer high ¾ arm action and slot with some effort. Great all around upside and super versatile. One of the top Mid-Atlantic prospects in the 2020 class.

2021 to WATCH:

Noah Iseman 1B / 3B / Kent County, MD / 2021

At 6’1’’, 220 lbs. Iseman is a big target at first base with lots of potential at the plate. At last week’s TPG, Iseman squared up several balls during the game and put on a power display at the plate in BP. He hits from an open stance with good balance and rhythm. Stays behind the ball well and really does a nice job of turning on the inside pitch. Most of his power came to the pull side. Iseman had a great day and showed that he has the ability to be a big time prospect in the 2021 class.
