Scout Notes
Newly available (Delaware decommit) 2017 Brady Stamper pitched 84-86 over five innings and topped out at 87 on the mound for Maryland Legends Black. The 6-foot-5, 205-pound righty has a durable frame with a sound arm action and quick arm speed and looks to have more in the tank…Robbie Palmeri had an impressive day for Blue Chips 2017 making loud contact the majority of the day and showing an aggressive approach at the plate from the right side. He had two hits in BC 2017’s first game and hit the ball hard at people in their second game…2019 Justin Caesar is a fun player to watch in the field and at the plate for API 17u. The young middle infielder is only 5-foor-3 but gets his money’s worth at the plate and has continued to get better and more confident from the shortstop position with arm strength across the diamond. He even stepped on the mound and got up to 84 mainly pitching 80-82…2017 Jordan Geber was 82-84 on the mound and continued to get stronger in his start against Blue Chips 2017. His breaking ball showed short action early and got more depth as the game progressed up to 72 mph…Brennan Maher pitched 78-81 on the mound for Blue Chips 2017 and topped out at 82 on the mound from the left side. He showed tight rotation on his 67 mph breaking ball with hard 1/7 action…Jake Deibert got up to 85 in his first inning of work on the mound for York Young Revolution with a big 72 mph breaking ball. He had a longer arm action and pitched 80-82 the rest of his appearance…Liam McDonnell (James Madison) was up to 78 mph on the mound from the left side for Stars 17u White and showed good feel for a 67 mph breaking ball that had tight rotation and nice 1/7 action and was especially tough on left-handed hitters…Jaran Davis played solid defensively at the short stop position for Stars 17u Blue while also showing consistent 4.1 speed on home-to-first…Dalton Shank showed his switch-pitching ability on the mound for Boonsboro, getting up to 71 mph from both sides…Blue Chips INF/RHP Beck Way made a quick appearance on the mound getting up to 86 on the mound in his relief appearance...Scott Morgan (George Mason commit) showed his quick bat at the plate with pull side pop in both games on the day...Zachary Crampton is an interesting 2019 showing some arm strength on the mound and a projectable frame pitching 76-79 mph...Bryant Shives played solid defense again this day in the field and one to keep any eye on as he adds to his frame...2017 Gage Walklett played solid defense and showed a short swing with some bat speed at the plate squaring up the ball well.
