Midwest Future Games Spotlight: 3B/1B Tommy Baggett

By Greg Williams
PA Director of Scouting

BaggettTommy Baggett has made a dramatic rise through the PA Class of 2015 rankings in the past four months. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound 3B/1B is a member of the Loyalsock Township Lancers, the Class AA state champs in 2013.

In November of 2012, we highlighted the talented core of Class of 2015 players on the Loyalsock roster. That core of players were instrumental in leading the Lancers to the state title, and two of the three players highlighted have since made their college commitments (Webb - Wake Forest and Glavin - Duke). Missing from that group was Baggett.

Following a 2013 season that saw Baggett rise from not even being in the starting lineup at the beginning of the season, to his playoff heroics in June, Baggett has made a meteoric rise through the rankings. He is currently ranked No. 24 in the PA Class of 2015 and shows signs that his stock will continue to rise.

Baggett earned a spot on the Team Pennsylvania roster alongside fellow Loyalsock teammate Luke Glavin and should draw considerable attention from the throng of college scouts that will attend. Baggett possesses an athletic frame, strong arm and the potential to be a middle of the order hitter at the next level.
