The Summer Kickoff Tournament at Mount St. Mary’s University took place over this past weekend. Seven teams were in attendance and performed in front of the PBR Maryland Scouting staff along with college coaches around the area.

During the following week we will have continued coverage from the round robin play with a breakdown from each team.

2017 Nick Stoner of the Keystone Bombers was the best fastball of the weekend pitching 86-88 mph and topping out at 89 mph. Stoner is committed to Bloomsburg (PA) and added a hard breaking ball at 75 mph.

2018 Rob Ferreira (Paul VI, VA) was the top hitter from the weekend after going 6-for-9 on the weekend en route to a .667 batting average for an impressive MVP National 16u team with a talented young roster. 2018 Justus Brown (Boys Latin) of Diamond Pros had the lone homerun on the weekend in his final game against Delmarva Aces and almost did it again bouncing one off the top of the fence. Brown hit .600 on the weekend in his two games for Diamond Pros. 2018 Cole Hitch went 3-for-3 in the second game of the day for Delmarva that also contributed for a .600 weekend for the young catcher from Indian River HS (DE).
