BRADENTON -- This past weekend was PBR's first annual Under Armour Classic, held in Bradenton, Florida on the campus of IMG Academy. The tournament featured some of the top travel teams in the country, and was a great success in its inaugural year. A handful of New Jersey players participated on two of the teams, MSI Bubba and the Louisiana Knights. Both teams with NJ players ended up competing for the tournament championship, with the Knights coming out on top 1-0. Here are some tidbits on those players:

MSI BUBBA

2018 RHP Anthony Sasso (Toms River North HS, NJ) tossed a complete game, scattering seven hits and a walk while fanning nine batters over the six innings. The physical 6-foot, 185-pound righty repeats a simple, compact delivery and showed a quick arm, throwing from a 3/4 slot with some effort. He attacked hitters with a heavy dose of firm 83-87 mph fastballs to the glove side while also flashing a 73-74 mph breaking ball with 12/6 shape.

2018 SS Luke Gutos (Moorestown HS, NJ) collected three line-drive hits including a pair of singles to left field and double to left-center field in the second game with a run scored. Batted .400 for the tournament.

+ 2018 OF Anthony Galason (Colts Neck HS, NJ) had hits in three games, including two games with two hits. Athletic and strong for his age, Galason has an unlimited motor.

LOUISIANA KNIGHTS

+ 2019 RHP/SS K.C. Hunt (Ramapo HS, NJ) recorded one hit and combined with two other pitchers for a shut out in a 1-0 championship game win. Hunt is an advanced defender for his age at shortstop and shows good actions in the field. Showed excellent barrel awareness and a loose, athletic swing from the left side.

+ 2019 C John Whooley (Ramapo HS, NJ) is an advanced receiver for his age behind the plate with very soft hands and a quiet base. Blocked very well, and has already showed times right at 2.00 both in showcases and in games. Starts in an open stance and shows aggressive yet controlled movements in his hands and hips from the right side.
