PA Top Prospect Games Wrap Up

The PA Top Prospect Games were affected by weather, shortening the event from two days to just one. That is the bad news. The good news is that Saturday's weather held out and allowed for a bunch of impressive performances. Following are the top performances of the day. A complete analysis of each player and team will follow in the coming days.

Sam Donko, RHP, Youngstown Ursiline HS, (OH), Class of 2013
Donko threw two innings in the 2nd game of the day and displayed electric stuff. The 6-foot-1, 235-pound right-hander gave up just one hit, while mowing down six batters by strikeout. Donko sat 88-89mph and mixed in a 78mph power slider. The uncommitted senior was the talk of the event.

Troy Glendenning, 1B/3B, Kiski Area HS, Class of 2013
Glendenning impressed with a 97mph bat exit speed during the morning showcase. He saved his best for game play as he went 3-for-3 with a triple and two RBI. The 6-foot-4, 255-pound unsigned senior had one of the top rounds of batting practice as well, driving baseballs to all areas of the park.

David Clay, C/1B, Oven J. Roberts HS, Class of 2014
Clay went 4-for-4 with an RBI during game play. The 5-foot-9, 185-pound junior uses a compact swing, with a strong lower half to consistently square baseballs in batting practice and game play.

Shane Dressler (VCU), Matt Davis (VCU) and Ricky Dennis (Monmouth) were committed players who participated and were every bit as good as reported.
