Top Pitching Performances

- 2021 LHP Eric Chalus (Bethel Park), currently No. 17 in the PA Class of 2021, showed the ability to add and subtract velocity with above average command of three innings. He worked three scoreless innings allowing two hits while striking out two. The lefty works out of a high 3/4 arm slot with some hip swivel to his effortless delivery. The fastball topped at 81 mph on this date but plays well off of a 1/7 breaking curveball with depth at 60-63 and a changeup at 68-70 thrown at fastball arm speed.

- 2020 RHP Nick Rispoli (Shaler), a Dayton commit, sat 86-87 our of a high 3/4 arm slot working solely out of the stretch during his two innings of work. The 6-foot-1, 220-pound senior worked around a hit and a walk in both innings he pitched to keep the opposition of the board. His curveball at 75-76 has tight 11/5 rotation and created lots of swing and miss. Rispoli struck out three and did induced three ground ball outs.

- 2020 RHP Cameron Knox (Mt. Lebanon), a Fordham commit, worked three scoreless innings striking out four and allowing three hits. His fastball sat 82-86 out of a high 3/4 arm slot and his curveball showed 11//5 rotation at 67-69.

TOP HITTING PERFORMANCES

- 2021 SS/2B Andrew Muraco (Franklin Regional), a member of Team PA at the recent PBR Future Games, went 3-for-5 with a walk and two sacrifice flies, scored four runs and drove in four runs. The Coastal Carolina commit also showcased the ability to handle defensive chores at both middle infield positions with good footwork and a quick release.

- SS/3B Jake Casey (Upper St. Clair) reached base in 7 of 8 plate appearances over three games. The 6-foot, 170-pound left-handed hitter went 2-for-3 with a double and walked five times. With room to add additional strength to his athletic frame Casey appears to be a run producing, middle of the order bat at the next level.

- 2020 SS/2B Nick Dolan (Baldwin), an Ohio University commit, showcased his top of the order abilities in reaching base in six of his seven plate appearances on the weekend. The 6.60 runner went 2-for-3 with four walks, three runs scored and a pair of stolen bases. Long and lean at 6-foot-2, 170-pounds, Dolan should have early opportunities to crack the lineup at the next level with a move to the outfield also a possibility.
