PBR Fall Kickoff Showcase Tournament Recap: Bucks County Generals 2021s

The annual Fall Kickoff Showcase tournament took place August 16-18 at Cooper Park on the campus of Millersville University. 

Today we continue a recap of the teams that participated and some of the top performers on each roster.

TOP PITCHING PERFORMANCES

- 2021 RHP Alex Estrada (Council Rock North) continued to showcase advanced pitchability working five innings while allowing just one unearned run. The 5-foot-11, 230-pound junior sat 81-85 out of a high 3/4 arm slot with a balanced, repeatable delivery. He also showed feel for his curveball with late biting 11/5 action at 73-76, an above average changeup at 72-73 and a cutter at 76-77. Estrada allowed three hits while striking out four with just one walk.

TOP HITTING PERFORMANCES

- 2021 C Evin Sullivan (North Penn), a recent participant in the PBR Future Games as a member of Team Pennsylvania, went 3-for-10 with a double and a walk in 11 plate appearances over three games. The 6-foot-3, 175-pound right-handed hitter drove in a pair of runs and swiped a pair of bags while showcasing advanced defensive abilities behind the plate.

- 2021 C Andrew Whinney (Central Bucks East) showcased solid plate discipline all weekend going 2-for-6 with four walks and was hit by a pitch. The 6-foot, 180-pounder displayed athletic defensive actions behind the plate while also showing the ability to handle duties at first base.
