PBR Junior Future Games: Team Pennsylvania HQ

August 2nd through 5th, PBR Pennsylvania will take a select team of players from the 12U, 13U and 14U age groups to represent Pennsylvania at the PBR Junior Future Games at Grand Park in Indianapolis, IN.

Participants will be given the unique opportunity of competing against other top-level players while representing their respective state in a high-level atmosphere.

All players have been hand selected and invited by the PBR Staff through a series of trials events over the past six months.

This one-of-a-kind event will include individual workouts and a 4-game guarantee with single elimination bracket play to determine a champion in each age group.

The event will kickoff with a showcase on Thursday, August 2nd. During the state-specific showcase each age group will interact with their State Director and be run through a pro-style workout where stats and information will be collected and stored in each player's profile. A video of the workout will be edited and hosted in each players profile as well.

Along with the PBR Profile complete with picture, verified statstitics, and video hosted on the PBR Site each participant will also receive an Adidas Jersey and hat.

The PBR Junior Future Games will run from August 2nd - 5th (Thursday-Sunday) in conjunction with the PBR Future Games.The Future Games features the top uncommitted players in the Class of 2020 and 2021 from across the Prep Baseball Report’s 35+ state coverage area. It is one of the most highly recruited events of the summer and attracts more than 250 college coaches from across the country each year.

Both events will take place at Grand Park in Westfield, IN. This brand new state-of-the-art facilty features 26 fields, including 8 all-turf fields.

12U Team Missouri 7 vs. 12U Team Pennsylvania 1
Peyton Jackson & Matthew Gannon led the Team PA offense with 2 hits each. Jackson had the lone extra-base hit of the game for Pennsylvania with a double.

12U Team Pennsylvania 7 vs. 12U Team Illinois 4
Jackson again led the Team PA offense with a double and three RBI in a 2-for-3 performance. Team PA put the game away with three runs in the sixth inning fueled by a Grant Stratton leadoff home run.

13U Team Ohio 11 vs. 13U Team Pennsylvania 3
Team PA got a multiple hit performance from Owen Garvey (2-for-2, 3B). Cole Constable, Kyle Peters and Drew Bailey pitched in with a two run double each. Maddox Cenci impressed in one inning of work on the mound striking out two.

13U Pennsylvania 8 vs. 13U Oklahoma 6
Justin Weaver and Anthony Miller hit home runs to fuel the Team PA offense. Additional extra base hits were recorded by Gage Wheaton (2B), Garvey (2B) and Jackson Natili (3B). After allowing a leadoff home run in his inning of work on the mound, Natili retired the side on three consecutive strikeouts.

14U Pennsylvania 10 vs. 12U Massachusetts 2
Six Team PA pitchers combined to limit the Massachusetts offense to just three hits while striking out seven. Randy Carlo (2B) and Aidan Masters fueled a nine hit attack with two hits each. Nikolas Rubendall (2B) and Mitchell Schultz (3B) also recorded extra base hits.

14U Pennsylvania 6 vs. 12U Michigan 2
Seven additional Team PA pitchers combined to limit the Michigan offense to three hits while striking out 10. Derek Cease was impressive sitting 83-84 while touching 86 mph with two strikeouts in a 10 pitch inning. Schultz swung the big bat going 2-for-2 with a double and a home run. Chase Kriebel struck out the side in his inning on the mound and drove in a run with a triple.

Team Pennsylvania hitters registered seven hits, but lost a tight one to the neighbors from Ohio. Mark Zuppo (2-for-3, 3B) and Grant Stratton (2B) were the hitting stars of the game. Owen Yarussi worked four innings striking out eight while allowing just four hits. Stratton worked the final two innings striking out three while allowing two hits.

12U Team Missouri 4 vs. 12U Team Pennsylvania 3
Team Pennsylvania was limited to six hits with Brady Boyle (2-for-2, 2B) leading the way. Peyton Jackson struck out four in two innings of work. Luke Costello struck out the side in his one inning of work.

13U Team Pennsylvania 16 vs. 13U Team Massachusetts 8
Gage Wheaton got the win on the mound pitching the final 5.1 innings. Team PA was led offensively by Hunter Lilly (2-for-3, 2B, 3B, 2 RBI), Garrett Lienhard (2-for-3, 3B, RBI) and Anthony Miller (2-for-3). Kyle Peters and Stephen Katch also pitched in with triples in the run rule win.

13U Team Colorado 6 vs. 13U Team Pennsylvania 2
Team Pennsylvania hitters were limited to just two hits with Jackson Natili and Hunter Lilly registering the team's only safeties.

* Team Pennsylvania finishes tournament action with a 2-2 record.

14U Indiana 6 vs. 14U Pennsylvania 2
Team Pennsylvania was led by Aidan Masters (2-for-2, 2B). Chase Kriebel went 2.2 innings striking out four while only allowing two hits. Derek Cease went 4.1 innings allowing three hits while striking out two.

14U Pennsylvania 11 vs. 12U Colorado 3
Team PA finished game action with a flurry of hits led by Derek Cease (2-for-2, 2B, 3B), Mitchell SchultzRandy Carlo (2B). Dan Snyder struck out two in a scoreless inning. James Lordi worked two innings with three strikeouts and one hit allowed.
