Greg Williams
Pennsylvania Director of Scouting

The inaugural PBR Limited Series tournament kicks off this Friday (June 28th) with eight teams participating in a round robin format over the course of three days at McGill Field on the campus of Lebanon Valley College.

Four 15U teams get tournament action started, with each playing two games on Friday. The 15U teams will wrap up play Saturday morning with 16U teams playing a single game Saturday afternoon and a pair of games each on Sunday.

Today we preview the rosters and a handful of the talented prospects from each team scheduled to participate at the 15U level. A live scout blog will run each day of the tournament with scouting notes and scoring updates for all 12 games in the tournament.

The Bombers organization recently had their second MLB draft pick in as many years when Nate Fassnacht (George Washington University / Ephrata HS) was selected by the Phillies in the 8th round. Zach Guth (Harford CC / Franklin Area HS) went to the Braves in the 26th round in 2018.

The Bombers 15U National roster is filled with college prospects and much of the roster remains in tact from a national top 25 ranking at the 14U age level in 2018. The Bombers recently reached the semifinals of the PBR Tournaments Carolina State Games at The Shipyard in Charleston, SC.

OF/RHP Vince Fattore (No. 4), OF/RHP Nik Rubendall (No. 9) and OF Caleb Sturtevant (No. 15) all find themselves currently ranked in the top 15 prospects in Pennsylvania's Class of 2022. A number of other members of this roster will likely find their way into the rankings in coming updates over the next 6-12 months.

RHP Trey Yesavage (No. 16) has steadily climbed through the PA Class of 2021 rankings and will showcase his upper 80s fastball as a member of Team Pennsylvania in August at the PBR Future Games.

The GoWags organization has developed a strong reputation for the development of players and the quality of the prospects leaving their program for the college ranks.

The GoWags Jays roster is highlighted by Coastal Carolina commit LHP/OF Bradeon Karpatthios currently sits at No. 32 in the PA Class of 2021.

2022 catcher RJ Rickabaugh will also be a prospect to watch. Rickabaugh impressed at the Preseason All-State Showcase in February.

No photo description available. The South Jersey Hawks originated as a program in 2012 and are comprised of 2021 and 2022 graduates from New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

2021 RHP Brody McKenzie, currently ranked No. 45 in the NJ Class of 2021, highlights the Hawks roster. The 6-foot-2 righty sat in the low 80s with a loose arm and plenty of projection at a PBR New Jersey event this winter.

2022 SS Ryan Weingartner will also be a prospect to keep an eye on. The underclassmen showed well last week at the Eastern PA Top Prospect Games.

Quickly becoming one of the most respected travel programs in the state, the Bucks County Generals continue to help develop college caliber prospects on a yearly basis.

The 2022 roster is filled with college bound players and will be fun to watch. Look for left-handed hitting third baseman Aidan Quinn to impress. Fresh off an impressive performance with the bat at the Eastern PA Top Prospect Games, Quinn is one of the top left-handed hitters in Pennsylvania's 2022 class.

Outfielder Maxwell McGrady is currently ranked No. 13 in the 2022 class. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound left-handed hitter has shown the potential to be a power bat and was up to 86 mph off the bump this winter.

3B/RHP Kevin Kell, OF/RHP Charlie Evans and C/1B Ben Haines have also all shown above average at recent PBR events and combine to make the Generals a team to follow closely this weekend.
