PBR Mid-Atlantic Border Battle: Final Results

The summer rush of PBR events in Pennsylvania and West Virginia kicked into high gear in June with the PA Top Prospect Games (June 17-18), Shenandoah Valley College Prospect Showcase (June 23) and the PA Underclass Games (June 24-25) all offering college coaches a glimpse at some 175 prospects in a short period of time.

The month of July has also been a busy one with the Western PA Open ID Showcase (July 8) and the Eastern PA Open ID Showcase (July 9) offering an additional 75 prospects the ability to showcase their talents.

Prospects from six states recently assembled at Harford Community College in Bel Air, Maryland for the PBR Mid-Atlantic Border Battle to complete the July schedule of events. Over the course of the next week we will be analyzing the prospects by position that made the trek to Maryland. Today we take a look at the finalized measurables and those prospects that were named as the MVP of their respective teams.

Gold Team

 

2015 C/1B Evan Moore (Loyalsock Township HS)

Moore went 5-for-10 in game play over four games. The 6-foot-2, 195-pound uncommitted senior registered an 83 mph bat exit velocity and showcased pop times of 1.96-2.04 on throws of 75 mph from the crouch.

white Team


2016 OF/RHP Jacob Burlingame (Horseheads HS)

Burlingame went 6-for-11 in game play over four games. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound left-handed hitter ran a 7.11 60-yard dash on a slow track and showcased an 87 mph arm from the outfield.

Black Team

 

2017 1B/OF Seth Thomas (Garden Spot)

Thomas went 5-for-9 in game play over four games. The 6-foot, 155-pound left-handed hitter showcased an 83 mph bat exit velocity and sound defensive actions around the bag at first base.

Red Team


2016 SS/2B Jimmy Farrow (Avon Grove)

Farrow went 5-for-11 in game play over four games. The 5-foot-10, 165-pound middle infielder displayed an 80 mph arm across the diamond and registered an 84 mph bat exit velocity.
