Pitcher Analysis: Class of 2014

Austin BakerAustin Baker, LHP, Governor Mifflin HS, Class of 2017
Baker is a 6-foot, 185-pound lefty that has a bit of a hip coil at the rubber. The freshman lands with an open front foot and works around his front side. He sat 75-77 with his fastball losing much of his velocity when he opens up. His 60-62 mph curveball is a spinner at this point and needs continued development. Baker also showcased a 64-66 mph changeup that he telegraphs by slowing his arm speed.

Thomas PrimoschThomas Primosch, RHP, Germantown Friends, Class of 2017
Primosch is a 6-foot, 145-pound freshman that should see substantial velocity gains as his frame fills out. The righty is a strike thrower that sat 73-75 out of a 3/4 arm slot. Primosch showed a slurvy curveball that he was able to command at 63-65 mph and a changeup that he threw at 66-68 mph. His mechanics were consistent and his ability to command three pitches will make him an interesting follow as he continues to mature.
