Lauer has a solid 6-foot-3, 185-pound frame and showcased a very solid three pitch mix with repeatable mechanics. The junior sat 81-83 from a high 3/4 arm slot and flashed a tight breaking curveball with 11/5 rotation at 74 mph. Lauer's changeup was delivered at fastball arm speed with cutting action and some late sink. The righty has a hip coil to his delivery and throws downhill indicating additional velocity spikes moving forward.
