CLASS OF 2021

TOP PROSPECT

Shane DevereuxShane Devereux, 2B/RHP, Malvern Prep (PA)
5-foot-10, 155-pound left-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing with a toe-tap stride. Displayed a compact, balanced swing with an above average feel for the barrel. Registered a 77 mph bat exit velocity and ran a 7.50 60-yard dash. Showcased developing defensive skills in the middle infield with accurate 76 mph arm strength across the diamond. The right-hander sat 76-78 on the mound out of a high 3/4 arm slot with some faint cut action to his fastball. The delivery is fluid and repeatable leading to solid command of three pitches. Curveball has a chance to be an above average pitch with sharp, two-plane break with 11/5 shape at 66-67. Changeup is thrown at fastball arm speed at 70-72 with a chance to be a quality third pitch. Frame and athleticism project for significant velocity spikes moving forward.

REMAINING PROSPECTS (in alphabetical order)

Landon DiBeradin, C, Norwin HS (PA)
5-foot-9, 160-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and utilizes a short, leg-hang stride to initiate his swing. Displayed a solid feel for the barrel with a bat exit velocity of 76 mph. Ran a 7.82 60-yard dash and showcased 2.20-2.30 pop times on throws of 70 mph from the crouch. Overall skill set will continue to develop through strength gains and physical development.

Aaron Eckard, 3B, Dover Area HS (PA)
5-foot-7, 165-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a leg-hang stride. Displayed a solid feel for the barrel with a flat path through the hitting zone during his round of batting practice. Evan Lewis, C, Elizabeth Forward HS (PA)
5-foot-9, 165-pound right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and utilizes a lift-and-replace stride to initiate his swing. Displayed solid hip turn with an ability to create some back spin and a bat exit velocity of 73 mph. Ran a 7.19 60-yard dash and showcased pop times of 2.35-2.42 on throws of 70 mph from the crouch. Also displayed the ability to play through the baseball routinely from the outfield with accurate 74 mph arm strength.

Jack Price, RHP, Spring-Ford HS (PA)
6-foot-1, 155-pound right-hander sat 71-74 from an over-the-top arm slot with occasional cut. Long limbed frame with plenty of room to fill out. Delivery is simple and repeatable. Curveball sat 56-59 with looping 12-6 rotation and 66-68 mph changeup is relatively straight at near fastball arm speed. Projects for additional velocity through strength gains and physical maturity.

Tim Quinn, 2B, Franklin Regional HS (PA)
6-foot-2, 165-pound right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and initiates his swing with a toe-tap stride. Works well to stay inside the baseball, but struggles to get off of his back leg. Registered a 77 mph bat exit velocity and ran a 7.85 60-yard dash. Showcased solid range and fluid actions in completing the slow roller play with accurate 73 mph arm strength across the diamond. Long, athletic frame appears to be far from finished developing. A move to a corner infield or outfield position is possible in the future.
