Results from the Unsigned Senior Showcase

The Unsigned Senior Showcase attracted a number of quality prospects still in search of the right college fit. Taking home top prospect honors was LHP/OF Ron Di Matteo (Penncrest HS). The 5-foot-10, 215-pound two-way prospect impressed with an 85 mph arm from the outfield and the top round of batting practice on the day. The left-handed hitter utilized a powerful lower half to create barrel whip and showed power potential to all fields. Di Matteo sat 82-83 on the mound with a quick arm and his curveball showed tight rotation at 72 mph.

Brendan MillerRHP Brendan Miller took the mound for the final bullpen session of the day and took home top prospect honors among the pitchers in attendance. The 5-foot-11, 170-pound righty sat 85-86 with late life to his fastball. He pounded the strike zone and showcased a 72 mph curveball to go along with a 77 mph changeup at fastball arm speed. Miller displayed repeatable mechanics and a loose arm.
